TEHRAN – Iran defeated Ukraine in straight sets (25-12, 25-10, 25-22) on Thursday to book a place in the 2023 World ParaVolley Sitting Volleyball World Cup final.

Iran had defeated Japan 3-0, Algeria 3-0 and Iraq 3-0.

Iran will play the winners of Egypt and Germany in the final on Saturday.

The World Cup is a Paris 2024 Paralympic qualifier, where one berth per gender is available for the winners or the highest placed non-qualified team of the tournament.

France (hosts), Iran, and Brazil have previously booked their place in the Paralympics.
